Federal Government Relations

Federal Government Relations

The Government Relations office works with members of Ohio's Congressional Delegation and their staff to obtain support for the entire Land Grant university system's priorities for research and extension. The office also serves as a resource, connecting elected officials/staff with appropriate university personnel.

A key partner in this work for the college is CARET, the Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching. CARET is a national group that has volunteer advocates from each state as members. This group is our voice of advocacy in Washington, D.C. These advocates are stakeholders in research and extension programs who use their valuable time to support us.
